6:30 AM: Meet Up at Tribhuvan International Airport

One of Simrik Air’s personnel will meet you once you reach the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport. All you should do is give them a call at the numbers provided to confirm your reservation. During the flight, the instructor will go over some crucial safety protocols and guidelines. Then we’ll meet the pilot and get on the helicopter.

7:00 – 8:00 AM: Flight to Lukla and Defueling

Altitude: 2,860m/9,383ft

If the weather supports you, then you will begin the journey and start flying at 7 o’clock towards the most dangerous airport of the world, Lukla Airport also known as Hillary Tenzing Airport.

You’ll catch yourself admiring the stunning mountain range blanketed with snow as you go. Of course, aerial views of Sherpa villages, monasteries, and stupas are important.

Likewise, during the flight, you will witness mountains such as Gyachung Kang (7,952m), Ganesh (7,429m), Gauri Shankar (7,134m), and Pumori (7,161m).

We will continue our journey approximately 15-minutes after the fuel stop in Lukla.

8:15 – 8:30 AM: Flight from Lukla to Kala Patthar

Altitude: 5545m/18,192ft

We take off from the Lukla Airport and fly to Kala Patthar after refueling. Typically, the trip takes 15 minutes. At this moment, we will be traveling at a height of approximately 5,500 meters. Aviation laws require that groups of four to five people be split into two halves.

8:30 – 8:45 AM: Sightseeing at Kala Patthar

When we reach Kala Patthar, if you want us to, we’ll stop for ten minutes. This is due to the fact that our bodies take a while to adjust to the abrupt elevation change from 1,400 meters in Kathmandu to over 5,500 meters. However, this is still sufficient time to see clearly and take some amazing pictures.

8:45 – 9:00 AM: Flight to Hotel Everest View

9:00 – 9:30 AM: Breakfast at Hotel Everest View
